The main purpose of Select It is to provide Google Chrome users with the ability to use a keyboard shortcut to open selected text in a webpage, with the appropriated action. An action could be to open a webpage, open email client and open several selected links at the same time.
Select It is especially aimed for opening text-links – which can often be found on many forums around the web. To use it you just have to select the text-link and press your configured keyboard shortcut (default CTRL + F), and the webpage will be opened in a new tab (configurable too). As a bonus tip; in Chrome you may also right click and select “Go to google.com”. Another way is to drag the selected text and drop it on the tab bar. Use which ever way you feel the most comfortable with.
Selecting a text-link can be tedious and sometimes hard on certain web pages, which is why Select It provides the ability to double click the text-link and have it opened. This makes this process very quick!
